Health News You Can Use
Diagnostic services, treatment, and resources for people with degenerative brain disorders
Located at Harborview Medical Center, the clinical team at UW Medicine Memory and Brain Wellness Center understands the impact that neurodegenerative disorders can have on our patients and their families, and we’re dedicated to your support from initial consultation through treatment and comprehensive follow-up care. Our physicians, neuropsychologists, nurse practitioner and social worker specialize in evaluating patients whose symptoms may arise from Alzheimer disease, frontotemporal degeneration, vascular brain injury, Lewy body dementia or other conditions. Our team helps patients discover ways to use their strengths to promote brain health and overall well-being.
The Memory and Brain Wellness Center unites:
- The UW Medicine Memory and Brain Wellness Clinic, which offers expert diagnosis, treatment and ongoing support, as well as primary care provider training for best practices for dementia diagnosis and care.
- The Memory and Brain Wellness Center Community Education and Impact Program, which works to expand dementia support services across the state and offers seminars, programs and resources for persons living with memory loss.
- The UW Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center -- one of 32 Alzheimer’s disease research resource centers funded through the NIH -- seeks to advance research in genetic risk and discover novel therapeutics that can be tailored an individual’s disease. We also connect interested individuals to clinical trials and observational studies.
