Receive personalized healthcare when and where you want it
UW Medicine brings board-certified doctors to you through two virtual care offerings: telemedicine visits and on-demand virtual care.
Telemedicine Visits with UW Medicine Doctors
Visit a UW Medicine doctor like you would in person — by secure video instead. You’ll receive the same personalized medical care as you would in a face-to-face visit. Discuss your current health concerns, manage chronic conditions or receive a specialty consultation — from the comfort of your own home.
24/7 On-Demand Virtual Care with 98point6® Doctors
Get virtual care anytime, anywhere from board-certified 98point6 doctors using an easily accessible, text-based app. With diagnosis and treatment of your illnesses and injuries from 98point6 doctors, your care will be coordinated with UW Medicine.
Receive unlimited access for a low introductory rate -- $30 for first 3 months.
Telemedicine Visits with Our UW Medicine Doctors
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have greatly expanded our telemedicine services so patients can get the primary and specialty care they need.
A UW Medicine telemedicine visit is a covered benefit for most insurance plans (double-check with your health insurer). All visits are safe, private and secure. Interpreter services are available if needed.
For people outside Washington state: Because of emergency state licensure waivers put in place in response to the public health emergency, we have been able to provide telemedicine visits for our patients outside of Washington state. Now, several states are starting to eliminate these emergency waivers. This means that our providers may not be able to see you via telemedicine if you are not in Washington state. Please contact your care team by phone at 206.520.5111 or MyChart if you have questions about your upcoming appointments.
Schedule telemedicine visits for many health concerns, such as:
- Acute care (for an illness, injury or infection)
- Behavioral health
- Chronic conditions
- Follow-up care
- Medication management
- New pregnancy
- Pre-surgical evaluation
- Primary care check-up
- Reviewing test results with your doctor
Sometimes a physical examination is a necessary part of your doctor visit.
Schedule an in-person appointment for the following health concerns:
- Physical exams such as a pelvic exam
- Skin cancer check
- Injections, such as a flu shot
- And more
