About Shaune M. DeMers
Shaune Marie DeMers, M.D., is a board certified psychiatrist at Harborview and a UW assistant professor of Psychiatry.
Dr. DeMers provides psychiatric care to patients with concerns about their memory or thinking as well as patients with serious medical and surgical illnesses. She gets great professional satisfaction from working with patients and families over time, helping them to adjust to cognitive and emotional challenges and focus their energies on enjoying their lives and those they love.
*New patients are routinely seen with residents or fellows.
Dr. DeMers earned her M.D. at the UW. She is board certified in both psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. Dr. DeMers’ clinical interests include neurodegenerative disorders, the interface between medical and psychiatric illness, palliative medicine and end of life issues.
Personal Interests
In her spare time, Dr. DeMers enjoys travel, music, theater, dance, cooking, and going on adventures near and far with her two sons.
