Dr. DeSantis, as always, was so positive and professional during the appointment. He was well informed on my problem and went beyond expectations. My appointment was pleasant and I felt heard and was satisfied with the outcome. He is not only an excellent doctor but is empathetic in treating his patients. I can see why he is highly respected by his patients and colleagues.

Dr. DeSantis spent nearly an hour with me, listening to my concerns and my story, taking notes, asking all the right questions, and explaining things to me at the level of detail I wanted. He was so clear and caring in his communication, laid out all of my options and made sure I understood them before we developed a care plan together. While weight and weight loss did come up in the appointment (since it relates to my condition), he approached it from a very neutral, medical standpoint, understood how my condition impacts weight, explained my options for medications that could help, and even acknowledged weight stigma as an issue. As a patient in a larger body, I really appreciated that.

Dr DeSantis saved my life. I was to see him for my osteoporosis and pelvic fractures and he walked in took one look at me and said how long have you had a thyroid problem? I have spent my whole adult life working with the doctors and specialists here in Bellingham WAAnd they never could figure out what was wrong with memust be depression, mental etc and drugged me up to the point I couldn't function!! I will always be grateful for him and your services ..PS please send some doctors here since ours are behind the times and outdated!!!!!
