BiographyGloria von Geldern, M.D., is a board certified neurologist at the UW Medicine Multiple Sclerosis Center and the Multiple Sclerosis Center at Northwest Hospital and a UW assistant professor of Neurology.
Dr. von Geldern specializes in the treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis, neuromyelitis optica and other neuroimmunological diseases. She believes that it is important to equip patients to better deal with a chronic neurologic disease through clear and detailed information and careful assessment of all aspects of life.
Dr. von Geldern earned her M.D. from Leipzig University in Germany. She is board certified in neurology and has been certified as MS specialist by the Consortium of MS Centers. Dr. von Geldern’s clinical and research interests include multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis, neuromyelitis optica, neuroimmunological diseases, infectious side effects of disease modifying therapies in MS, the effect of nutrition in MS, quality of life and functional impairments.
Personal InterestsIn her free time Dr. von Geldern enjoys spending time with her husband and son, enjoying the outdoors in Washington and reading.
