About Farah N. Khan
Farah Naz Khan, M.D., is a board-certified physician and a clinical associate professor of medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Nutrition. Her primary clinic is located at the University of Washington School of Medicine's Diabetes Institute in South Lake Union.
After earning her undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Khan earned her M.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and completed her medical training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her research and clinical interests include CF-related endocrinopathies, diabetes in underserved patient populations, and diabetes in the developing world.
Dr. Khan is also an accomplished health and science writer and strives to educate both her patients and the general public on important health topics. She believes the doctor-patient relationship requires mutual patience and understanding to achieve the best health outcomes.
