3.4 Infection Control Training
Background and instructions
This training is an annual requirement for all medical students.
Entering MS1 student First Time Training:
To complete this compliance requirement email somcompl@uw.edu to request a link to the training on Canvas:
- Watch the WISH donning/doffing videos then
- Complete the associated attestation form. Email somcompl@uw.edu to get the Canvas link.
- Complete the 2024 Infection Prevention training on Canvas. Complete the quiz embedded within the training module.
- Once you have completed the attestation form and completed the Infection Control quiz, we will generate a completion certificate which you can upload to CastleBranch. Certificates will be generated bi-weekly.
- DO NOT upload your quiz results to CastleBranch or they will be rejected.
- You will receive your completion certificate via email, sent from somcompl@uw.edu.
Please upload the certificate to your CastleBranch UW71 account

MS2, MS3, and MS4 Refresher Training:
To complete this compliance requirement email somcompl@uw.edu to request a link to the training on Canvas:
- Watch the WISH donning/doffing videos then
- Complete the associated attestation form.
- Complete the Required Clinician Training on Canvas. Email somcompl@uw.edu to get the Canvas link. Complete the quiz embedded within the training module.
- Once you have completed the attestation and have a passing score on the quiz, we will generate a completion certificate which you can upload to CastleBranch.
- DO NOT upload your printed quiz results to CastleBranch or it will be rejected.
- You will receive your completion certificate via email, sent from somcompl@uw.edu. Certificates are emailed weekly. Please upload the certificate to your CastleBranch UW71 account by the August 10th deadline.
- Note: The renewal field in CastleBranch will populate 21 days prior to August 10th. You can complete your training now but will not be able to upload the certificate until July 21.
Passing score: 80% on each quiz.
