About Yajuan J. Liu

Yajuan Liu, Ph.D., F.A.C.M.G., is a board certified geneticist at UW Medical Center and a UW associate professor of Pathology. She is director of UW Medicine Precision Diagnostic’s Cytogenimics Lab and co-director of the Cytogenetics and Genomics Lab.

Dr. Liu strives to provide the highest, most comprehensive and up-to-date diagnostic programs possible to achieve UW Medicine’s mission of improving the health of the public.

Dr. Liu earned her F.A.C.M.G. degree from Wuhan University in China and her Ph.D. from State University of New York Upstate Medical University. Dr. Liu is board-certified in both Clinical Molecular Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics. Her clinical and research interests include cancer genetics and genomics of human diseases including birth defects and cancers.
