About Xiaoming Yang
Xiaoming Yang, M.D., Ph.D, M.S., is a board certified radiologist at UW Medical Center and a UW professor of Radiology and Interventional Radiology. He is director of UW's image-guided bio-molecular interventions research and a senior lecturer of radiology at Kuopio University in Finland.
Dr. Yang has received over $12 million in research funding and has created several new medical imaging and interventional radiology concepts and technologies. As a physician, what excites him is to be able to successfully take care of patients. He especially enjoys working with patients who are actively involved in their own healthcare.
Dr. Yang earned his M.D. from Suzhou University, China, his M.S. from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical University in Beijing, and his Ph.D. from Kuopio University, Finland.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Yang enjoys traveling, bicycling, mountaineering, music and photography.
