Pediatric cardiology, Primary care - pediatrics

William O. Walker, Jr., M.D., is a board certified pediatrician at Seattle Children’s Hospital, UW Medicine’s chief of Developmental Medicine, director of the UW Medicine Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship, the UW’s Robert A. Aldrich Endowed Professor in Birth Defects and Mental Retardation and a UW professor of Pediatrics.

Dr. Walker takes a "whole child" and a "whole family" view with every visit. Though he can't necessarily explain why a child has a disability, he can help solve practical concerns families have about caring for their child right now.

Dr. Walker earned his M.D. at Tulane University, New Orleans. He is board certified in both Pediatrics and Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. His research interest is the impact of neural tube defects (spina bifida) and their effect on continence, technology use, quality of life, participation, employment and educational success.
