About William A Hagopian
Dr. Hagopian is a UW Clinical Professor of Medicine and has practiced at UW for 20 years. His clinical expertise includes diabetes as well as general endocrinology.
He sees endocrinology outpatients at the UW Endocrinology and Diabetes Center on Roosevelt, usually on Mondays. He also serves as an attending physician on the inpatient Endocrinology Consultation Service at Harborview Medical Center.
In addition to clinical activities, he has a large research program at Pacific NW Research Institute in Seattle. The research centers on prediction and prevention of Type 1 diabetes in children and adults, from newborn screening for diabetes risk, to studies investigating the environmental triggers of diabetes, to clinical trials of immunotherapies to stop autoimmune diabetes before or at the clinical onset.
