Dr. Grady specializes in gastroenterology and internal medicine. His particular clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of hereditary cancer syndromes, as well as the development and use of molecular markers for the prevention and treatment of colon, esophageal and stomach cancer.

He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and was the internal medicine chief resident at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He did his gastroenterology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University and then was on faculty at Vanderbilt University before moving to Seattle.

He is currently the UW Rodger C. Haggitt professor of medicine and director of translational research of the gastroenterology section at UWMC. He is also a full member of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Clinical Research Division and the medical director of the GI Cancer Prevention Program Clinic at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
