Dr. Ellis was extraordinary. He reviewed my health background, did a thorough exam, and talked me through the surgical procedure that he recommended. His explanations about the physiology of the body organs, the nature of the disease, and the long-term prospects made the decision very clear. For the first time in months, I felt that I understood the nature of the prostate cancer, the special character of my prostate, and the reason why surgery was needed. We discussed alternative treatments, and the side effects of surgery. I felt incredibly well informed and confident in his skills. More broadly, he spent a long time with me, and I felt like he really cared about me as a person.
