About Wendy H. Raskind
Wendy Raskind, M.D., Ph.D. is a board certified physician at the Genetic Medicine Clinic and the Center on Human Development and Disability at UW Medical Center. She is also a UW professor of General Internal Medicine, Medical Genetics, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and an adjunct professor of Genome Sciences.
Dr. Raskind continues to see patients in her seventh decade because she likes teaching—students, residents, fellows and patients.
Dr. Raskind earned her M.D. and Ph.D. at the UW. Her clinical and research interests include identification of genes for inherited disorders with a focus on neurologic diseases and decades of research on causes of genetic disorders and identification of many genes for hematologic and neurologic diseases.
Personal Interests
In her free time Dr. Raskind enjoys knitting, singing and playing with my grandchildren.
