About Serina M Hijirida
Serina Hijirida, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, is an occupational therapist and upper extremity rehabilitation specialist. She has been working at the UWMC Exercise Training Center since 2017 and has been working in the field of upper extremity rehabilitation since 2003 and a certified hand therapist since 2007.
Ms. Hijirida earned her Master's degree and Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Southern California and her Bachelor's degree from Boston College. She graduated as a member of the Phi Theta Epsilon Occupational Therapy Honor Society and received the Distinguished Contribution to Research in Occupational Science and Therapy Award.
Ms. Hijirida's clinical interests in upper extremity include orthopedics, nerve and tendon injury, cumulative trauma, pain, post-surgical care and custom orthotics.
