Santiago Neme, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified physician and UW clinical assistant professor of Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Neme is chief medical officer and medical director for patient safety & quality at UW Medicine/Northwest Hospital.
Dr. Neme specializes in infectious disease. Dr. Neme believes in empowering patients. Informed patients tend to be better equipped to make decisions. With the emergence of resistant organisms, resurgence of life-threatening infections, advances in HIV prevention and treatment and highly effective hepatitis C treatments, it is very exciting to be an infectious disease physician today.
Dr. Neme earned his M.D. at the National University of Tucuman in Argentina. He completed his Internal Medicine residency, Infectious Disease Fellowship and Master in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Washington. He’s a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. He is fluent in Spanish and French.
In his free time Dr. Neme enjoys traveling, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.
