Dr Mudumbai is the most responsible Dr that I've never had before. He is respectful, friendly & having a heart towards patients

I have been seeing Dr. Mudumbai nearly weekly for a five month period for a rare neurological disorder that impacts my optic nerves. So I can say from experience that Dr. Mudumbai is a one in a million doctor. He is truly an expert in his field, every question or concern, he has an immediate and clear answer for. He's extremely thorough in his treatment plan and made sure I understood every step we took. I ended up needing surgery and I was terrified. Dr Mudumbai talked me through it time and time again, supported me while I cried, and never wavered or showed any frustration by having to keep explaining. I see a lot of commentary on the wait times, but it is so refreshing to have a Dr like him that doesn't rush appointments, especially as he is often talking to patients about vision loss concerns that hold a lot of gravity. He gives the patient his full attention and care, and while that can make things run long, it is absolutely worth waiting for. Additionally Dr. Mudumbai is also an incredible human. His care for his patients overall well being and mental health is unmatched, the kindness and empathy he shows is above and beyond. I am so thankful for him. If you are ever battling something that calls for a neuro-ophthalmologist, Dr. Mudumbai is who you want by your side.

Dr. Mudumbai clearly knows his field of expertise and how this knowledge affects a patient. He is sympathetic.

Dr. Mudumbai's excellant analytical ability gathering data and interpreting data should be awarded. The optic system, eye to brain, requires interpretation using abilities Dr. Mudumbai has.

I am pleased with how respectful Dr. Mudumbai was today at my post-op appointment as well as prior to my first cataract surgery. He explained what I could expect once I was in the surgery room, and what he needed from me. Though he had to repeat himself several times, he remained very patient and courteous. The most important thing I want to say is my first cataract surgery appears to be quite successful. I really had no idea what to expect afterwards, but I definitely wasn't expecting ***20/20*** vision. Something I probably haven't had since I was in elementary school. This is way better than when I wore contact lenses too.It's hard to believe, but I'm looking forward to my second cataract surgery. Maybe I'll end up with eyes like eagle, or whichever creature that might be who has the sharpest eyes.

Dr. Mudembai was detailed and caring during my visit and exam.

Dr Mudambai did an awesome job as always of explaining the options I would have for surgery if that becomes necessary. He is always patient and clear.
