Rachel Caron, MD, is a pediatrics resident. She grew up rain puddle-jumping and tall-tree admiring in Portland, OR. She left the Pacific Northwest for college at Barnard College, majoring in English and Biology. Dr. Caron stayed in NYC for a few more years to do immunology/microbiology research and became an expert subway napper. Despite her years in New York, she never became a particularly fast walker. She returned to Oregon from medical school at OHSU and was pleasantly surprised about how many opportunities she had to explore PNW treasures.
