Nancy Unger, A.R.N.P., M.N., M.P.H., is a board certified nurse practitioner in General Surgery at UW Medical Center and a UW teaching associate of General Surgery and affiliate instructor of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Systems.
Unger enjoys building relationships with patients and their families to better understand their health care needs. She believes she can provide comprehensive, individualized and holistic care for patients. She particularly enjoys empowering patients to take care of themselves.
Unger received her medical education at the UW. Her clinical and research interests include general surgery, ostomy care, wound care, patient education, fistula and nursing research.
In her free time Unger enjoys running, cycling, hiking, backpacking, knitting and gardening
