Lisa Olmos de Koo, M.D., M.B.A., is a board certified ophthalmologist at the Eye Institute at Harborview and a UW associate professor of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Olmos specializes in both the medical and surgical care of vitreoretinal diseases. She is committed to excellence, drawing upon her experience and training as well as the latest scientific and technological advances to provide the best individualized care for patients.

Dr. Olmos earned her M.D. at Baylor College, Waco, Texas and her M.B.A. at Rice University, Houston. Her areas of research include artificial vision and retinal prostheses, novel therapies for macular degeneration and inherited retinal degenerations, screening methods and treatment strategies for diabetic retinopathy, and advanced retinal imaging modalities.

Personal Interests

Dr. Olmos lives in Edmonds with her husband and two children. Her outside interests include competitive swimming, classical music and the opera.
