Lia Moriguchi Halasz, M.D., is a radiation oncologist who cares for patients with brain and spinal cord tumors and brain metastases. Dr. Halasz has expertise in Gamma Knife radiosurgery, proton beam radiation therapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy, volumetric intensity modulated arc therapy and conformal external beam radiation therapy.
Dr. Halasz earned her M.D. at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. She also completed her residency through Harvard’s oncology program at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Her clinical research interests include brain tumor outcomes, quality of life and innovative radiation technologies. Other research interests include metastatic disease and patient-reported outcomes.
Dr. Halasz is an assistant professor in radiation oncology and neurological surgery at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Dr. Halasz enjoys spending time with family, including her husband and three children, and partaking in outdoor hikes, big family dinners and the occasional opera.
