About Lia Moriguchi Halasz

Lia Moriguchi Halasz, M.D., is a board certified radiation oncologist at UW Medical Center and Harborview and a UW associate professor of Radiation Oncology and Neurological Surgery.

Dr. Moriguchi Halasz cares for patients with brain and spinal cord tumors and brain metastases. She understands that every patient is unique, and believes it's important to practice active listening and create an active doctor-patient partnership with each patient.

Dr. Moriguchi Halasz earned her M.D. at Harvard. Her clinical research interests include brain tumor outcomes, quality of life and innovative radiation technologies. Other research interests include metastatic disease and patient-reported outcomes.

Personal Interests

Dr. Halasz enjoys spending time with family, including her husband and three children, and partaking in outdoor hikes, big family dinners and the occasional opera.
