Katherine Shaffer, MD, is a pediatrics resident. She was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio (Go Bucks!) where she developed a love of local ice cream and musical theatre. She studied sociology and anthropology at Carleton College in Minnesota before moving to Washington, DC, where she joined an intentional community and volunteer service corps. Her career interests lie within primary care, medical education, community health programming, and child development.
