About John Edward Abellera Blair

John Blair, MD, is an interventional cardiologist specializing in all forms of coronary artery disease, from complex interventions to diagnosis and treatment of ischemia with non-obstructive coronary artery disease (INOCA). He is one of few cardiologists who performs coronary function testing to determine the cause of angina, which may include coronary microvascular dysfunction, coronary vasospasm, myocardial bridge, spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), or obstructive coronary artery disease. He is an active investigator in INOCA and SCAD research and is an author on over one hundred peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Blair believes in a team approach to patient care and providing the most current information so patients can make informed decisions, especially about interventional cardiology. He treats obstructive coronary artery disease, complex coronary artery disease, INOCA, myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA), and SCAD. Novel therapies include enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP), physiology-directed medical therapies, and advanced revascularization techniques.
