About Jennifer Tong-Young Yu
Jennifer Tong-Young, M.D., is a board certified ophthalmologist at the Eye Institutes at Harborview and UW Medical Center and a UW assistant professor of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Yu is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides medical and surgical care for a wide range of eye conditions such as dry eye, cataracts and glaucoma. She believes that good patient care starts with listening to the patient and that healthcare is a partnership between the physician and the patient.
Dr. Yu earned her M.D. and Ph.D. at Washington University, St. Louis. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Washington Association of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. She teaches residents and medical students how to evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of eye diseases and also trains residents in cataract surgery.
Personal Interests
Dr. Yu lives in the greater Seattle area with her husband and two daughters. Her pastimes include reading, skiing, cooking and family activities.
