About James S. Floyd

James Floyd, MD, MS, is a Professor of Medicine and he leads the University of Washington Cardiovascular Health Research Unit. His research, supported by several NIH grants, seeks to identify new causes of cardiovascular diseases using a variety of tools and methodologies, including epidemiological studies, genomics, proteomics, and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Floyd, has leadership roles in several national NHLBI-funded studies of cardiovascular disease, including the Multi-ethnic Observational Study in American Asian and Pacific Islander Communities (MOSAAIC) and the Cardiovascular Health Study (CHS).

Personal Interests

In his free time, Dr. Floyd enjoys Chopin, Stravisnky and Debussy.
