About Heidi L. Combs
Heidi Combs, M.D., M.S., is a board-certified psychiatrist and medical director of Inpatient Psychiatry at Harborview, a UW associate professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and director of the Psychiatry Clerkship for the UW School of Medicine.
Dr. Combs is an expert in acute inpatient psychiatry and the diagnosis and treatment of catatonia. She takes pleasure in teaching patients about their illness and how their biology and life experiences have created who they are.
Dr. Combs earned her M.D. and M.S. at the UW. Her clinical interests include acute psychiatric care and catatonia. Her research interests include feedback in medical education and effective teaching methods.
