About Francine M. Baran
Francine Baran, M.D., is a board certified pediatric ophthalmologist at Harborview's Eye Institute.
Dr. Baran is committed is to providing children a comfortable and friendly environment so they feel at ease during eye exams. She understands that an unfamiliar environment can be intimidating so she tries to make the whole experience as much fun as possible, which makes each day an exciting opportunity to help young people. She loves making a difference in children's lives by helping care for one of their most precious abilities—their sight.
Dr. Baran earned her M.D. at Drexel University. She is an active principal investigator within PEDIG (Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group). Her clinical and research interests include pediatric ophthalmology, glaucoma, amblyopia, strabismus, pediatric and adult cataracts, congenital anomalies, ptosis, nasolacrimal duct obstruction, myopia, treatment of nasolacrimal duct obstruction and ocular colobomas.
Personal Interests
Dr. Baran lives in Seattle with her husband. Her personal interests include jogging, pure barre, traveling and cooking.
