Dr. Koehne is young, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. If her Interaction with me Is any Indication of her abilities, she will make an outstanding physician. If possible, I would recommend UWMC keep her on!

Dr Koehne and her nurse assistants were fantastic. Dr Koehne Addressed my concerns for my specific condition/concerns. Prescriptions needed were written promptly and prescription provider notified quickly so that all my medical requirements are being met.

About Elizabeth L Koehne
Elizabeth Koehne, MD, is a urologist and Acting Instructor and Society of Urologic Oncology fellow at the UW School of Medicine.
Dr. Koehne believes in providing compassionate, patient-centered, evidence-based care. She focuses on her patient’s individual needs and circumstances, while sharing information about the condition and treatment options, so that she and her patients can decide the next steps together.
Dr. Koehne was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in French from Truman State University. She then attended the University of Missouri for medical school, where her teachers and patient interactions inspired her to pursue a career in urology. During her medical education, Dr. Koehne was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. She completed her urology residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.
While at Loyola, she earned two Magis Star awards for excellence in clinical care and the Department of Urology Academic Achievement Award. She is honored to continue her training at the University of Washington as a Society of Urologic Oncology fellow and serve the people of her new community.
Her clinical interests are in genitourinary malignancies and caring for geriatric and medically-complex patients. Her research focuses on understanding the interaction of the immune system with urologic cancers, and developing strategies to predict and improve responses to therapy.
Personal Interests
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Koehne enjoys hiking, jogging, and taking her two dogs for long walks with her husband.
