About David N. Fredricks
David N. Fredricks, M.D., is a board certified physician at the Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine Clinic at UW Medical Center. He also sees patients at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Dr. Fredricks is a UW professor of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Medicine and an adjunct professor of Microbiology and directs the Infectious Disease Fellowship Training Program.
Dr. Fredricks strives to treat each patient like a member of his family by providing the same concern and attention to detail he would to a family member.
Dr. Fredricks earned his M.D. at Case Western Reserve University. His clinical and research interests include the application of molecular methods for the diagnosis of infectious diseases and novel pathogen discovery, infections in cancer patients and recipients of hematopoietic cell transplants, diagnosis and treatment of fungal infections and molecular diagnostics for bacterial and fungal infections.
