Cecilia Yeung, M.D., is a hematopathologist in the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Clinical Pathology Lab, a molecular genetics pathologist and assistant director in the Molecular Oncology Lab at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and a UW assistant professor of Pathology.

Dr. Yeung strives to help patients through one of their most challenging hurdles in life. She feels she has a responsibility to ensure each patient gets the most accurate diagnosis in a timely manner.

Dr. Yeung earned her M.D. from Penn State. As a part of the UW's Pathology faculty, she heads efforts to expand molecular pathology education. She is also active in the Molecular Genetics Fellowship and chair of the Clinical Competency Committee.

As a researcher, Dr. Yeung hopes to discover useful biomarkers which may aid in diagnosis and prognosis and guide future therapies.

Personal Interests

In her free time Dr. Yeung enjoys bicycling, pottery and hiking.
