About Brittany R. Barber
Dr. Barber's practice is dedicated to surgery for benign and cancerous head and neck tumours as well as facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. She strives to create active partnerships with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Barber completed her MD and surgical residency training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. She also completed a Masters of Surgical Science at the University of Oxford for her dissertation work in peripheral nerve regeneration in head and neck cancer patients. She then went on to complete a fellowship in advanced head and neck cancer surgery and microvascular reconstruction at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Barber's clinical interests include head and neck cancer surgery, robotic surgery, and salivary and endocrine surgery. She has a special interest in reconstructive surgery for skin cancers. Her research interests include quality improvement in free flap reconstruction, peripheral nerve regeneration, cancer genomics, and HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer treatment.
