Anna R. Shope, M.D. is a UW clinical associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She joined the faculty in 2011 as a member of the Division of Women's Health and sees patients at both the UW Neighborhood Shoreline Clinic and UW Medical Center-Roosevelt.
Dr. Shope's clinical interests include general obstetrics and gynecology, prenatal care, vaginal birth after cesarean delivery (VBAC), contraception and family planning, management of abnormal bleeding, management of abnormal Pap smears and cervical dysplasia, and comprehensive gynecologic care.
Dr. Shope became an OB/GYN to dedicate her life to caring for women. She enjoys helping them through all stages of their lives, and values the relationships women have with their healthcare providers. Her goal is for her patients to be able to communicate openly and freely so that she can help adjust their care plans to their personal needs, values and beliefs.
Dr. Shope loves gardening, being outdoors, cooking, singing and spending time with family and friends.
