About Amy M. Bauer
Amy Bauer, M.D., is a board certified psychiatrist at UW Medicine Neighborhood Clinics and a UW associate professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Population Health.
Dr. Bauer also works to increase access to mental healthcare for underserved populations by improving mental health services in primary care clinics. She strives to create active partnerships with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Bauer earned her M.D. at UC Berkely/UC San Francisco. She is board certified in both Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. Her clinical interests include psychosomatic medicine, technology and mental health, and primary care psychiatry. Her research focuses on understanding and addressing health literacy barriers to self-management for people with chronic diseases, particularly diabetes and depression.
