Karim Valji, M.D., F.S.I.R., is a board certified radiologist, chief of Interventional Radiology at UW Medical Center and a UW professor of Radiology. Dr. Valji has been included on the Best Doctors in America list for most of the last decade.
Dr. Vajli cares for patients and their families in the same way he expects his family to be treated.
Dr. Vajli earned his M.D. from Harvard Medical School. He has authored more than 80 publications and given more than 250 invited lectures. He is the author of three books (including The Practice of Interventional Radiology) that have become standard texts in the field. He is a former editor-in chief of the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Vajli is particularly recognized for his work on thrombolysis and dialysis access interventions.
In his free time Dr. Valji enjoys travel, weight training, theater and reading history of foreign cultures.
