About Mary E. Larimer
Mary Larimer, Ph.D., is a psychologist at the Psychiatry Clinic at UWMC-Roosevelt, director of the UW Center for the Study of Health & Risk Behaviors and a UW professor of Psychology and Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Larimer strives to create active partnerships with her patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Larimer earned her Ph.D. at the UW. Her clinical and research interests include prevention and treatment of alcohol and drug problems among adolescents and young adults, with a particular focus on college drinking prevention, co-morbidity of substance use with depression, suicide, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, disordered eating and gambling problems, evaluation of housing and treatment programs for chronically homeless and incarcerated individuals and dissemination of evidence-based prevention and treatment approaches into clinical, school and work-site settings.
