Karl Cristie F. Figuracion, A.R.N.P., is a nurse practitioner at the Alvord Brain Tumor Center at the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle. Figuracion is cross-trained in medical and radiation management of patients with central nervous system cancer. She has also provided care at the Gastrointestinal Oncology Clinic at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and as an inpatient registered nurse at an oncology-hematology unit and an outpatient chemotherapy center. She joined UW in 2015.
Figuracion earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Diego State University, California, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, where she also completed oncology nurse practitioner training. She is board-certified in adult-gerontology.
Figuracion’s clinical interests include oncology neuro-rehabilitation and decreasing treatment related toxicities. Her research interests include implementing research in clinical practice and decreasing cognitive changes related to radiation.
In addition to caring for her patients, Figuracion enjoys running, hiking, trekking the great outdoors accompanied by her family and their two dogs.
