Patient Care Philosophy

Harborview Medical Center is the major trauma hospital serving Alaska, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Washington State. It is a superbly equipped and staffed facility. Many of my patients arrive here after being injured far away; it is my task, as a physician, to ensure they receive the safest, most effective and most compassionate care that we can provide.

Personal Interests

I enjoy quiet and solitude kayaking in local waters.

Dr. Bramhall is an associate professor in the Department of Anesthesiology; his clinical practice is based at Harborview Medical Center where he specializes in the care of trauma patients. He is also associate medical director of the hospital and is involved in the ongoing academic and clinical work ensuring that patients receive the best and the safest care while at Harborview.

Dr. Bramhall earned his Ph.D. in England in 1976; his research centers on the structure and function of biological membranes. He has practiced medicine in Seattle since 1991. He is board certified in anesthesiology. He is also past president of the Washington State Society of Anesthesiologists and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Washington State Medical Association.
