Andrea L. Cheng-Hakimian, M.D., is a neurologist who provides care to patients with epilepsy, including women with epilepsy during their pregnancies.
Dr. Cheng-Hakimian earned her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She also completed her internship and residency in neurology at Washington University in St. Louis and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She later completed two years of fellowship training in epilepsy and neurophysiology at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Washington, Seattle.
Dr. Cheng-Hakimian’s clinical interests include women's health and epilepsy. Her research focuses on women's health and epilepsy, with special emphasis on pregnancy and epilepsy.
Dr. Cheng-Hakimian is an acting assistant professor of neurology at the University of Washington. She enjoys getting to know her patients, and educating and empowering them to participate fully in their care.
In her spare time, Dr. Cheng-Hakimian enjoys yoga, outdoors activities, visual arts and culinary arts.
