Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA)

SCCA logoThe Seattle Cancer Care Alliance was established in 1998, creating an alliance between UW Medicine, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Seattle Children’s for oncology-related patient-care services. This alliance brings leading-edge medical discoveries to the patient as quickly as possible.

SCCA unites UW doctors, researchers and other healthcare professionals working at the partner organizations to form a world-class treatment center that provides advanced therapies and clinical studies for cancers and other blood disorders.

SCCA is the “front door” for cancer care at UW Medicine and many patients begin their care there. For more information about becoming a patient, call 206.288.SCCA or visit the SCCA website.

Outpatient care, treatments and clinical research takes place at SCCA’s outpatient clinic in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Other outpatient care and treatment takes place at UW Medical Center. Through the clinical centers located at SCCA South Lake Union outpatient site and the UW Medical Center, patients have access to specialists with expertise in virtually all types of cancer.

Inpatient cancer care, including surgeries and treatments that require a hospital stay, occur at UW Medical Center. Pediatric patients receive similar inpatient services at Seattle Children’s.
