Immunization documentation A UW NetID and email account are required.

Students submit their immunization and test result documentation to a web-based system called CastleBranch (CB). CB will send an e-vite to you once we provide them with your UW NetID and UW email address. Students create their CB account when they receive the e-vite and can begin submitting documentation for each vaccine requirement. Detailed instructions will be provided by CB once your account is created.

Please follow these steps to prepare for document submission to CB.

If you have questions about the immunizations requirements please visit the Health Sciences Immunizations Program (HSIP) website or contact HSIP at myshots@uw.edu.

The tuberculosis testing requirement may be satisfied with either a two-step PPD or a single IGRA blood test. A two-step PPD consists of two PPDs (tuberculin skin tests) placed within 1one to three weeks of each other. At a minimum, it takes 10 days to receive the results of the two-step PPD and four visits to a provider to have your PPDs placed and read.

If you test PPD positive please refer to the HSIP website (above) for instructions.

If your hepatitis B or varicella vaccine series are ‘in process’, you will be considered compliant as long as you adhere to your vaccine schedule.

Immunization compliance is determined by CB and HSIP, not by the University of Washington School of Medicine. CB will send us weekly reports on student compliance status.

The UWSOM Compliance Office does not process or interpret student health records and we cannot advise students about vaccine requirements. For questions about immunizations, contact HSIP directly via email at myshots@uw.edu or by phone 206-616-9074.

**Note: If you are currently relying on insurance through your undergraduate program, make sure to complete any immunizations or titers prior to leaving your current program.
