About Wyoming WWAMI
Wyoming became the second “W” in WWAMI in 1997 with 10 students. In 2011 the Wyoming legislature approved an increase to 20 students per year made up of qualified Wyoming residents. Wyoming WWAMI has a high percentage of graduates who return to the state to practice - roughly 70 percent. Students accepted into the program spend 18 months on the University of Wyoming campus in Laramie. The third and fourth years are spent doing rotations at selected clinical sites throughout the WWAMI region.
