About the UW School of Medicine-Gonzaga University Health Partnership

In 2016 Gonzaga University became the first private institution to join WWAMI as a full partner. From 1972 to 2015, the UW School of Medicine partnered with Washington State University in eastern Washington. Working together, the UW School of Medicine and Gonzaga are advancing a new model of institutional collaboration to benefit students and the communities across eastern Washington. Medical training opportunities take place in the large urban referral center of Spokane, the smaller cities of Yakima, Wenatchee, and Tri-Cities, and many small rural communities.
