The Translational Research Lab (TRL) is located on the 5th floor of the Harborview Research & Training Building to support the needs of clinical research studies that do not have permanent assigned lab space. The TRL provides access to wet benches and biosafety cabinets, as well as equipment necessary for processing patient samples.
Equipment users have access to
Description: 5 biosafety cabinets (one for volatile compounds).
Description: 2 chemical fume hoods, with flammable and acidic materials storage located beneath.
Description: 4 ea centrifuges (2 benchtops; 2 ultras), with inserts, containers and biosafety lids necessary for their use.

2 ea -80C freezers + 2 ea as spares / core overflow
2 ea -20C freezers
1 ea 4C deli fridge
1 ea 4C upright fridge
2 ea 4C fridge / -20C freezer combo
Description: Misc. consumable supplies include pipettors, tips, towels, soap, scrub brushes, and biohazard bags. Sharps containers and disposal are available within the rooms at no charge.

The core supports processing clinical samples prior to shipping or archiving. A menu of packages is offered in a cost center format. A lab manager provides orientation and oversight of the space.
