The Shared Equipment Cost Center at HRT/3NJB provides a pool of research tools available to the participant labs. In addition to the items below, the cost center also funds -80 freezer repairs (up to $1000 per incident) and the repair of biosafety cabinets (to meet EH&S compliance standards). Li-Cor Odyssey CLx near-infrared imager in 3NJB. Cell-based assays, protein arrays, in-gel imaging (when appropriate detection dye is used), tissue section imaging. The standard wavelengths detected are 680 and 800. Labs are welcome to come and try to see if it will work for their applications, but it’s recommended that a little research be done first. There are two spare -80 freezers and one spare -20 freezer located in the HRT 5th floor East corridor. There is also one spare -80 and one spare -20 in the HRT 208 freezer farm. 

Another spare -80 freezer is in the 3NJB main N-S hallway. 

All spare freezers are for short-term/temporary storage of samples, in case of a planned defrost or unexpected failure.
