Clinic Overview

Unique care services for older adults at Harborview

The Senior Care Clinic at Harborview provides primary care and consultative services for patients aged 65 years and older who also have a geriatric syndrome such as cognitive impairment, falls and gait instability, frailty or functional decline.

A compassionate, multidisciplinary team provides a range of services including geriatric medicine, psychiatry, pharmacy, nutrition, social work and nursing.

Our staff also provides one-on-one teaching about safety issues relevant to seniors, such as fall assessment and prevention, using medications safely and managing conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. You can request a falls/gait instability consultation, which is available twice weekly at our Falls Clinic.

On the first Friday of each month, from 8 a.m. to noon, the Senior Care Clinic also operates a Healthy Bones Clinic. This clinic provides consultative care and referrals to other disciplines as needed for patients concerned about osteoporosis and other skeletal health issues.

Our mental healthcare professionals provide a range of services including psychiatric consultations, medication management and recommendations for continued psychiatric care. Health education is available also through the Harborview Patient and Family Resource Center.

The care team accepts most major insurance plans. Make your appointment today.

Why We Charge for Parking
The Washington State Legislature and King County mandates that parking at Harborview be self-supporting. As a King County-owned, state-managed institution, all garages and parking lots on our campus are paid for out of parking revenues. Harborview parking revenues must pay for all repairs, bonds and loans on all parking facilities. Parking revenues are also used to subsidize various Harborview commuter programs and the valet service. According to the state legislature, parking revenues must pay for all these expenses and may not come from other sources.
