A referral is required for most new patient appointments. Additionally, recent medical imaging studies are required in order for your surgeon to assess your medical condition.
When you make your appointment, let the scheduler know the nature of your health concerns. If you have numerous concerns, please let us know the primary reason for your visit.
During Your Consultation Appointment
During your consultation, you will meet with one of our surgeons to discuss your condition and symptoms and discuss whether surgery is the best option for you. The surgeon will review your medical history and discuss any conservative treatment options you have tried. If surgery is recommended, the surgery scheduler will work with you to obtain preauthorization for your procedure from your insurance and schedule your procedure.
You will see one of our physician assistants for your first post-operative appointment. Your surgeon’s physician assistant is present during the vast majority of all surgical procedures and consults with the surgeon on your specific needs. Typically the physician assistants see patients in clinic on the same days as the surgeon. This way the physician assistant can consult with the surgeon if necessary.
Canceling & Rescheduling Your Appointment
