Located in the University District, the General Internal Medicine Center at UW Medical Center – Roosevelt is a University of Washington Medical Center-based primary care teaching clinic that provides comprehensive primary care for adult patients, including preventive medicine services, evaluation and treatment of acute medical conditions, and ongoing management of chronic diseases.

Our primary care providers work together in team-based care and include: 

• Attending Physicians: Faculty physicians at the University of Washington
• Resident Physicians: Resident physicians are licensed doctors pursuing advanced training in internal medicine under the supervision of University of Washington faculty physicians
• Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants: Clinicians with advanced training who serve as primary and urgent care providers
• Learners from a variety of health professions may also participate in care under close supervision from the clinical team. 

Our teaching, team-based model supports patient-centered care grounded in the best available medical evidence. 

Our clinic includes integrated behavioral health services, with counselors as part of the care team, and coordination with psychiatric care as needed. As part of UW Medicine, our primary care team works closely with specialists across the health system to deliver comprehensive, connected care.
