Same-day Urgent Care
Walk-in to Urgent Care at Ballard to get the care you and your family need for minor illnesses and injuries that are not emergencies. Our urgent care clinic offers same-day care for patients 2 months and older and referrals to emergency services or specialists when medically appropriate.
We are open 7 days a week (except for major holidays.) New patients are welcome. Free parking. For infants under 2 months of age, please contact your child’s provider’s office directly. Onsite lab and x-ray availability may vary. If in-clinic labs or x-rays are not available, we are able to recommend other convenient solutions.
Is my insurance accepted?
UW Medicine accepts most major insurance plans. All patients should verify their insurance coverage before completing a visit. For more information, view the health insurance plans UW Medicine accepts.

Virtual Primary Care is here for you 363 days a year (closed Christmas and Thanksgiving). See a primary care provider with an on-demand video visit in MyChart:

When should I seek emergency care?
Call 911 immediately if you fear that you have a serious, life-threatening illness or injury, such as stroke, heart attack, uncontrollable bleeding or head injury with loss of consciousness.
You should seek care in an emergency room if you have the following:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Shortness of breath
- Severe burns, pain or head trauma
- Sudden loss of vision
- Broken bones with bone exposed
Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The UW Medicine Ballard location is at 1455 NW Leary Way in Ballard, just north of the Ballard Bridge, near the intersection of 15th Avenue W and NW Leary Way. Parking lot access is located off of NW Ballard Way between 15th Avenue NW and 14th Ave NW.
TRAVELING SOUTH ON AURORA AVE N. / WA-99 S.
- Drive south on Aurora Ave N / WA-99 S. toward N 71st St.
- Turn right onto N 46th St.
- At exit N 46th St., take ramp left
- Road name changes to N Market St.
- Turn left onto 1st Ave. NW
- Turn right onto NW 45th St.
- Bear right onto Leary Way NW
- Road name changes to NW Leary Way
- Turn left onto 14th Ave. NW
- Turn right onto NW Ballard Way
- The entrance to the parking lot is on your right

- Drive north on Aurora Ave N / WA-99 N / Aurora Bridge toward Fremont Way N
- Bear right onto Bridge Way N

- Keep straight onto Leary Way NW

- Drive north on 15th Ave W
- After crossing the Ballard Bridge, at exit 15th Ave. NW, take ramp right

Park in a UW Medicine designated parking stall to prevent being ticketed.
There is free parking on-site. The entry to the clinic can be reached from either NW Ballard Way or NW Leary Way. Parking lot access is located off of NW Ballard Way between 15th Avenue NW and 14th Ave NW.
