The UW Medicine Center for AIDS and STD at Harborview provides care and social services to patients with AIDS/STD, often coordinating this care among many different providers.
Patient care is provided through the following clinics and services:
Madison Clinic: the single largest provider of HIV and AIDS care in King County.
The nationally recognized center trains health-care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection through the
Northwest AIDS Education and Training Center.
It also facilitates clinical discovery through the
AIDS Clinical Trials Unit, which investigates treatments that fight HIV infection and studies treatments and preventions for opportunistic infections associated with HIV.
