About the Ceremony

The Clinical Transition Ceremony is a celebration at the end of the Foundations Phase, before medical students embark on their clinical practice of medical school. The ceremony marks the transition from the classroom to the clinical rotations on the wards. Students are given a white coat with their name embroidered on it from their College Mentor, which can be worn on their clinical rotations in third and fourth year.

Guests may park in the Central Plaza Garage (CPG) adjacent to Meany Hall.

  • Enter the garage from 15th Avenue NE at NE 41st Street.
  • Parking on campus after 5:00PM costs $5
  • If you need easy access to an elevator, park in levels 2-6. Otherwise, guests may park in any level of CPG, 1-6. Follow signs from the parking garage to Meany Theatre 

Guest information

Due to the ceremony being held in Meany Hall, there are no restrictions on the number of guests that students can invite, and guests do not need tickets.If any guests have mobile disabilities, If any guests have accessibility needs, Meany Center is barrier-free and meets all criteria established by the Americans with Disabilities Act:
